“H-E-E-L-P” (Higher education expenses for less privileged) is a non-profit organization whose vision is to reduce poverty through higher education by providing college or university expenses as grants, scholarships for poor students so that after graduation they become the financial supporter for the whole family instead of being dependent on the society.
COVID-19 pandemic has caused unprecedented sufferings in people’s life especially for poor people who are even struggling to feed their families, ““H-E-E-L-P” has undertaken an emergency small project to provide financial assistance with an initial target of $7500 for 100 poor families who became recipients of Zakat or donation due to impacts of COVID-19. Most of these families have on average 5-6 members and their occupations are like Daily laborer, Maids, Sweeper, Night guard, Rickshaw or Van driver, Muazzin etc. Only $50-$100 (Tk. 4,000 –Tk. 8,000) financial assistance may help them to cover one whole month food expenses for the entire family.
“H-E-E-L-P” has raised $2340 (Tk. 196,000) so far and helped 34 families and is humbly requesting for a small portion of your Zakat/Donation by May 15th, 2020 to deliver direct financial assistance before Eid-Ul-Fitr 2020 Insha’Allah and put a smile on their faces while maintaining social distancing during this scary challenging period of our lifetime.
